Corinna Walker
I am an integrative and trauma-informed counsellor working with adults experiencing a range of emotional, personal and relationship challenges.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within their ethical framework and have regular supervision, alongside continuous professional development to support my practice.
I was drawn to counselling through an interest in how life experiences shape the way we cope, and how therapy can create space for reflection, self-understanding and personal growth.
Alongside my core training, I have completed specialist training with DACTARI in domestic abuse counselling and with Rape Crisis in sexual abuse and trauma work.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can slow things down and talk things through at your own pace.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, with a strong person-centred foundation. This means I use a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, adapting our sessions to your individual needs and experiences rather than following a fixed structure.
This collaborative process allows us to focus on what feels most important for you. I may draw on CBT-informed strategies, psychodynamic exploration, psychoeducation and solution-focused approaches, where helpful and appropriate.
Therapy can help you explore patterns, emotions, relationships, boundaries and how you relate to yourself.
Over time, this can support greater self-understanding, a clearer sense of self and help you reconnect with what matters to you.
At Making of You Counselling Services, I support adults with a range of experiences and challenges, including:
Depression and low mood
Anxiety, stress and burnout
Managing difficult emotions and feeling overwhelmed
